Disney to Host Fifth Annual Film Festival at Sea
February 24, 2005
Known world-wide for their sometimes brutally honest assessments of today's most popular movies, film critics Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper are back once again for Disney Cruise Line's Fifth annual Film Festival at Sea. The festival will take place October 2-6 aboard the grand Disney Wonder, giving curious passengers and movie buffs alike the chance to view a number of critical film favorites, all from a somewhat different perspective.
The Film Festival at Sea is an exciting opportunity for anyone that loves movies! As in past years, Ebert and Roeper will be selecting four of their own personal film favorites for viewing, all of which have yet to be released! Once at sea, passengers participating in the festival will have the chance to view each of the films with both critics present. They will then have the rare chance to listen to live critical commentary about the films, as well as ask their own questions during the post-screening discussion sessions that will follow the viewing of each film.
One film will be shown each day for the duration of the four day cruise. In the past, the Film Festival at Sea has included future hits such as One Hour Photo, Monsters Inc., The Kid Stays in the Picture, and Stolen Summer. Participants will also have the chance to personally meet Ebert and Roeper during a special Film Festival cocktail reception on the day of embarkation!
This extraordinary opportunity does come at an additional cost. Interested passengers ages 13 and over can participate in the Film Festival at Sea for an exceptionally reasonable $225 per person. This cost can easily be added on to your total cruise fare. Cruise-only rates are also available for guests not wishing to participate in the film festival.
Space for the Film Festival is extremely limited, and though reservations can be made once passengers arrive on the ship, only those guests that pre-book space for this package will be guaranteed a spot to participate in this exciting, once-in-a-lifetime event!!
