Carnival's Winning Streak Continues

March 08, 2005

Carnival Cruise Lines has done it again. For an unprecedented 11th year in a row, the largest and self proclaimed most popular cruise line in the world has been named the best overall cruise vacation value by Ocean and Cruise News, a monthly publication put out by the World Cruise and Ocean Liner Society, which is a highly respected organization made up of a number of experienced cruise professionals and industry experts. The awards are divided into 10 categories, and honor those cruise lines that provide the most exemplary product, service, and pricing options in that specific category. Carnival earned its best value honors in the High-Superior Four-Star-Plus category. Recognized for its extraordinary recent product enhancements, including expanded dining and entertainment options as well as even more on and off ship activity choices, Carnival also received high marks for its exceptionally large accommodations, extremely affordable pricing options, and the unique, distinctive charm and overall fun and laid-back atmosphere that is conveyed in each one of its 20 magnificent vessels.

"Carnival delivers the fun that is promised in its advertising and then some," said Tom Cassidy, Chief Editor of Ocean & Cruise News. "The line continues to improve its on-board product in the key areas of service, dining, and entertainment, and exceed the expectations of its passengers. Cabins are also larger than other ships within this category. All of this, combined with Carnival's moderate prices, makes this a real value winner!"

Carnival Cruise Lines president and CEO Bob Dickinson attributes Carnival's continued success to its ability to go above and beyond each and every passengers expectations, providing a fun and affordable vacation experience that each guest will remember for a lifetime. "In the past few years, we've revamped every aspect of the 'Fun Ship' vacation experience," stated Dickenson. "From updated menus and a greater variety of shore excursions, to higher service standards and more in-cabin amenities. To be named a 'best value' 11 years running from an esteemed group such as the World Cruise & Ocean Liner Society is a gratifying endorsement of these efforts."

Carnival currently offers a wide variety of year-round itineraries, ranging anywhere from three to 16 days in length, to some of the most exciting and beautiful destinations on earth, including the Bahamas, the Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, New England, and Europe! Also, in addition to the fleet's current 20 world-class members, Carnival has two new 110,000-ton super liners that are currently under construction. The now named Carnival Liberty and Carnival Freedom are both scheduled to enter service sometime in late 2006 or early 2007.
