The Yachts of Seabourn Announce "Night at the Opera"

As highest rated cruise line by readers of Departures magazine, The Yachts of Seabourn continues to provide the ultimate in ultra luxury cruise vacations. From the cruise line that brought you the elite "Chef's Circle" program, Seabourn has just announced scheduling of the highly acclaimed British repertory troupe, The Reduced Opera Company, to appear as part of the "Dress Circle" onboard enrichment program.
A trio of singers will perform a program of selections from classical and light opera on six voyages aboard all three Seabourn yachts in 2005. The company will present two full performances of arias and selections entitled "Pure Opera" during each cruise, one of which will be introduced with a special "Night at the Opera" formal dinner in The Restaurant.
Performers will vary from cruise to cruise and include some of the most celebrated in international opera, hailing from all over the world. Charlotte Page, who has sung over thirty principal roles in opera for companies such as the Royal Opera and the Welsh National Opera will be among the group. Also appearing with Seabourn is Soprano Chloe Wright, who spent two years singing the role of Musetta in La Boheme on Broadway and won a Tony Honor for Excellence as well as an Outstanding Artist award from the Drama League of America.
Expect to see Welsh soprano Anne Williams-King, who has mastered a wide variety of roles and appeared with Lyric Opera Ottawa as well as several companies all over Europe. Also look for Tenor Bradley Daley, a regular soloist with the English National Opera in the London Coliseum and Welsh brothers Mark and Wynne Evans. Baritone Mark and Tenor Wynne have performed with the English and Welsh National Operas in addition to a wide variety of Symphony Orchestras.
The Seabourn Legend will host the singers on its April 7 cruise from Lisbon to Monte Carlo and its April 24 sailing from Barcelona to Monte Carlo. The Seabourn Pride offers the experience on cruises departing May 6, a 16-day voyage from Istanbul to Lisbon, May 22, a 14-day excursion from Lisbon to London and August 28, an 18-day journey from London to New York. Seabourn Spirit has scheduled opera performances for its 7-day Athens to Alexandria cruise on October 16th.
