Cruising Towards Good Health

July 28, 2005

If you've been on a Carnival cruise recently, you don't need to be told about all the healthy options available onboard. It isn't as if you had to have taken a tour of the Carnival cruise ship's fitness center, either; all anyone needs to do is walk through any buffet or sit down for dinner and see the fresh fruit, salads, "Spa Carnival" entrees, and vegetable dishes that are available. Of course, if you do end up in the Carnival Cruise Line fitness center, you're likely to find some of the most modern and sophisticated exercise equipment around, as well as excellent physical trainers. Plus, there are countless other fun and healthy activities that are available at the ports of call.

Now, as further proof that today's cruising experience doesn't have to be about over-eating or breaking your exercise routine, Carnival Cruise Line is giving passengers on Carnival Pride a special opportunity to learn about better ways to manage eating habits, keep in shape, and turn over the proverbial leaf. Hosted by the health magazines, Shape and Men's Fitness, Carnival Cruise Line's 2nd Annual "Mind/Body Cruise" on October 23-30, 2005 will give guests the motivation and pride needed to change their life habits for the better or to simply keep up the good work!

On the Carnival Cruise Line Pride, passengers will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best fitness instructors, dieticians, and health experts in the business. On the 7-Day Mexican Riviera Carnival cruise from Los Angeles, guests can explore news methods of looking and feeling good, while exploring destinations such as Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. While you travel with this great Carnival cruise ship, you can participate in any and all of the complete mind/body program hosted by the faculty of experts from Shape and Men's Fitness magazines.

They'll be onboard to give the Carnival cruise passengers comprehensive information and training that will help them burn fat, sculpt their physique, improve their cardiovascular system, and choose correctly when it comes to nutrition and diets. And, these are not simply lectures; they are fully interactive workout classes and information sessions that will be fun and exciting!

A few of the experts onboard include Jeffrey Scott, a Reebok University Global Master Trainer, top fitness educator, writer, and instructor who has stared in over 20 fitness videos; Tracy York, a 15 year Fitness Professional, Master Teacher and Personal Trainer who has appeared in about 30 fitness videos, as well as co-hosted "The ESPN Fitness Pros"; Elizabeth Somer, M.A.,R.D., author of several books, including The Origin Diet, Food & Mood, and Nutrition For Women, and who is a contributing Editor to Shape.

They'll all be onboard Carnival Pride, a member of Carnival Cruise Line's Spirit Class of ships; an 88,500-ton ship in which an astounding 80% of its cabins are oceanview cabins. And, 80% of those are balcony cabins. It sails regularly sails from Los Angeles to beautiful ports of call in the Mexican Riviera. Call a Cruise Network Cruise Specialist or book online as soon as you can before cabins for this fall cruise are all booked up.
