Last Minute Cruises to Canada & New England

September 23, 2005

The time has come; dont wait any longer to book your last minute cruises to Canada & New England. True, it isn't a flip-flop wearing, sun-bathing, sandcastle-building type of cruise. You probably won't be drinking out of any coconuts, and you most likely will not be snorkeling off the coast of Nova Scotia in November (Brrrr!). Still, if you're the type of person who likes brisk, bright weather; the sound of leaves crunching underfoot; and picture-perfect scenery, then a voyage up the eastern seaboard of America and into Canada may be right up your alley.

Talk about being surrounded by great views! On one side you have the ocean and the sky, two shades of blue meeting at the horizon. On the other, a blanket of brilliant reds, golds, greens, yellows—and all shades in between—edging close to the rugged coastline of eastern North America. But there's only one problem: if you want to experience autumn via cruise ship in 2005, you don't have much time before these last minute cruises drop away like leaves from a tree.

It's already the first day of autumn (can you believe it?), and although there are still a few weeks left before the colors peak, and even more than that before they fade away, it still that doesn't leave much time for a person to book a fall cruise. So, what are your options when it comes to these last minute cruises?

Well, you're not completely out of luck yet. Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, as well as the ultra-luxury lines, Seabourn, Crystal, and Radisson Seven Seas, still have space on Canada & New England last minute cruises for October and November, 2005. These are currently available through Cruise Network.

Many of the balcony cabins and suites are going to be booked up already on these last minute cruises, although you may have some luck if you hurry. For the most part, however, many of the cruise ships only have interior cabins available. While interior cabins do not have windows, they are really great values. What they lack in a view, they make up for in comfort and low cost. And if you're the type of traveler who will not be spending much time in the cabin anyway, then it probably won't make much of a difference whether or not you have a balcony.

And of course, when it comes down to it, a Canada & New England cruise is mostly about the experience off the ship, right? With ports of call that include Boston, Mass.; Bar Harbor, ME; Montreal, Quebec; Philly, Penn; New York, NY; and Halifax, Nova Scotia, you can find yourself shopping in downtown Manhattan one day and hiking through a wooden glen in Maine the next. Just like the onboard experience of cruising, a Canada & New England cruise can be whatever you want it to be.

So don't delay; call a Cruise Specialist with Cruise Network at 1-888-267-1232, or feel free to book one of your last minute cruises online directly from the privacy over your home. But, please, if you're interested in any of these last minute cruises, don't dawdle. Or the only thing you'll be doing this fall is raking leaves.
