Royal Caribbean travels across the land to promo their sea-going vacations.
In a unique marketing effort to get people more familiar with not simply the name of Royal Caribbean, but also the feel of its ships, the company is touring parts of the country in a 40-foot-high, scale model of Navigator of the Seas, one of the newest and largest ships in the RCL fleet. Called the "Ultimate Adventure Tour," it will let folks who have never experienced a Royal Caribbean cruise get as close as you can without ever even having to book a cabin. And, the festivals and sporting events that the trailer will be visiting will surely attract a wide range of people.
Guests will be able to "board" the model-ship, visiting the 47-seat theatre and climbing the rock-climbing wall, a very popular feature on its ships. They also are able to enter for the opportunity to win a 7-night cruise vacation.
The promotion has been going on since the middle of January, but there still are plenty of opportunities left to catch it. On February 19 through the 21, the trailer will be at Coconut Grove, Florida at the Coconut Grove Arts Fest. Key Biscayne, Florida will host Royal Caribbean after that, on March 17-April 3 at the NASDAQ 100.
The Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival in Fort Worth, Texas is Royal Caribbean's next stop on April 7 through 10. The Houston International Festival on April 23-24 and Austin's Old Pecan Street Festival on April 30 through May 1 are the last chances to see the Royal Caribbean trailer in Texas.
Finally, Rochester, New York's Lilac Festival on May 13 through the 22 will conclude the Royal Caribbean tour.
Navigator of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean's largest ships, 138,000 tons. Her destinations include the Western, Eastern, and Southern Caribbean. The scale-model trailer gives people a great opportunity to experience a taste of what a vacation on a Royal Caribbean ship would be like. But the only way to really experience what a cruise vacation feels like is to take one.
